Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is actively seeking a CFD specialist to advance aerodynamic CFD methodologies across Hinwil, Switzerland, and Bicester, UK. You will drive CFD process improvements, model development, and workflow optimizations, collaborating with software partners and the Aerodynamics group to leverage cutting-edge techniques including GPU solvers and machine learning.

Qualifications

• MsC or PhD in Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field with a strong focus on computational fluid dynamics
• At least 3 years professional experience in working with CFD Methods
• Experience in parallel computing and high-performance computing (HPC)
• Familiarity with developing software in Linux environments
• Strong programming skills
• Deep knowledge of developing CFD methods in OpenFOAM
• Knowledge of high-Reynolds flows physics and turbulence modelling
• Knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages
• Software release, update and deployment techniques
• General knowledge of optimization techniques, Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability and a strong commitment to delivery
• Foster close collaboration across the CFD Group and wider Aerodynamics organisation
• Challenge assumptions and seek continuous improvement through data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Contribute to overall CFD process improvement
• Work on CFD physical modelling to increase the accuracy of the prediction
• Improve the CFD workflow to reduce the time to solution
• Work closely with external software providers on specific development projects
• Work on innovative techniques for CFD, including cutting edge technologies, like GPU solvers or Machine Learning
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CFD
