Zusammenfassung

EPFL's Laboratory of the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research at AGORA Cancer Research Center in Lausanne seeks a proactive laboratory technician with a strong background in molecular and cell biology and experience with genetically modified mouse models.

The successful candidate will work closely with a postdoctoral fellow on projects spanning tumor immunology, cancer vaccines, and glioblastoma biology.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma from a laboratory technician program or equivalent qualification.
• Accreditation to work with laboratory animals (Module 1).
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.
• Curious, persistent, and motivated to learn new methods and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Plan and execute daily experimental work in coordination with the postdoctoral fellow.
• Mouse models: health monitoring, injections, in vivo imaging, assistance with surgeries and tissue collection.
• Molecular biology: DNA/RNA isolation, cloning, qPCR, protein isolation, and western blotting.
• Cell biology: mammalian cell culture, transfection, proliferation, migration/invasion assays, and flow cytometry.
• Histology: cryosectioning, FFPE processing, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy.
• Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the laboratory as needed.
