Job summary

coni + partner ag in Zurich is seeking a Business Risk Analyst to evaluate trading processes, compliance requirements (EMIR, MiFID II) and associated operational risks within a banking context.

You will work with IT, Trading, and Legal & Compliance to implement policies, establish control frameworks, and conduct audits to minimize risk. Fluency in German and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics.
• Experience in middle office, trading, or as auditor.
• Knowledge of banking, financial markets and financial products.
• Understanding of market infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate between business and IT.
• Strong affinity for IT processes.
• Motivation and dedication.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.

Your Tasks:

• Conducting analyses of the bank's trading processes, compliance (e.g. EMIR, MiFID II) and operational risks
• Based on the control deficits in the trading systems identified by internal or external audit, develop solutions to optimize trading processes
• Support the Trading department in establishing and maintaining a robust control framework and setting up second line of defense controls
• In close cooperation with IT, Trading and Legal & Compliance Department and external specialists, implement trading related policies, to ensure clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities
• Plan and conduct audits to ensure compliance and minimize risks related to applicable laws and regulations
• Ad hoc project work based on events to systematically eliminate vulnerabilities in the trading systems
• Point of contact for the business on compliance issues

Your Profile:

• Masters' or Bachelor's in Business Administration or Business Informatics/ Experience in the middle office or trading of a bank or as external or internal auditor
• Experience in banking matters, financial markets and financial products
• Understanding of financial market infrastructure activities
• Familiarity with operational risk in trading and knowledge of the relevant regulations
• Ability to communicate and negotiate clearly between business and IT
• Flair for IT processes and systems
• Dedication and motivation
• Strong communication skills
• Skilled in German as well as English
