Job summary

Leica Geosystems in Switzerland is seeking a Business Process & Data Engineer (m/f/d) for Operations to shape process excellence across Operations & Supply Chain. You will analyse end-to-end processes, design improvements and define KPIs, bridging operations with financial insights.

You will contribute to reporting landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA readiness and the Microsoft Fabric data platform, collaborating with IT, Controlling and global teams to deliver tangible results.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in process management, business analysis or operational excellence.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements across multiple functions.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end Operations & Supply Chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design and document end-to-end processes across Operations & Supply Chain.
• Drive process improvements from identifying opportunities through to implementation.
• Define and harmonise KPIs for efficiency, quality and cost, ensuring consistent definitions.
• Connect operational performance with financial insights to support better decisions.
• Help shape reporting and data landscape, including transition to a modern data platform.
• Develop reports and analyses hands-on to provide actionable insights.
• Translate business needs into requirements for systems such as SAP S/4HANA and our data platform.
• Act as link between operations, IT and Controlling in a global role.

• Analyse, design and document end-to-end processes across Operations & Supply Chain, working closely with process owners in manufacturing, engineering, procurement, planning, logistics and quality
• Drive process improvements from identifying opportunities through to implementation
• Define and harmonise KPIs for efficiency, quality and cost, ensuring consistent definitions and application
• Connect operational performance with financial insights to support better business decisions
• Help shape our reporting and data landscape, including the transition from SAP BW to a modern data platform based on Microsoft Fabric
• Develop reports and analyses hands-on to provide actionable insights and support decision-making
• Translate business needs into requirements for systems such as SAP S/4HANA and our data platform
• Act as the link between operational functions, business divisions, IT and Controlling in a global role with a strong connection to our operations in Switzerland
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and AI, and contribute to developing and implementing practical solutions

This is you

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in process management, business analysis or operational excellence, ideally in an industrial environment
• A proven track record of driving process improvements across multiple functions
• Solid understanding of end-to-end Operations & Supply Chain processes
• Strong skills in process analysis, modelling and documentation; familiarity with frameworks such as SCOR is an advantage
• Good understanding of data models and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus
• A conceptual mindset, combined with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and turn ideas into tangible results
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align people across functions without formal authority
• Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
• Experience in an international organisation, working across multiple sites, and familiarity with SAP, particularly SAP S/4HANA, are a plus
