Hexagon is seeking a Software Test Architect (AI Enablement) for Embedded Systems to define and drive the testing and quality strategy across the full embedded stack, from OS and sensor integration to APIs and the C++ software layer.

You will lead AI-enabled testing initiatives, design automation concepts, and CI/CD integrated QA frameworks, while building and maintaining automated test infrastructure including HIL benches. Collaboration with R&D and product teams is essential.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Python or other high-level language; C#/C++ is a plus.
• Expert in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with embedded test automation for Yocto-based platforms or RTOS like Zephyr.
• Experience designing lab infrastructure for local and remote access to embedded systems.
• Experience with API/contract-based automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing and AI-driven quality analytics.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, reliable mindset.

• Defining and driving a testing and quality strategy across the full embedded stack - from the OS layer and sensor integration up through the application-level C++ software and the APIs it exposes - across our instrument platforms.
• Actively contributing to the development and implementation of test strategies, automation concepts, and quality processes.
• Proactively driving AI enablement as a cross-cutting principle across all responsibilities.
• Championing an automation-first approach by designing automation concepts and quality frameworks seamlessly integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Leading the design, setup, and continuous improvement of automated test infrastructure, including the ongoing maintenance of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches.
• Coaching and supporting the development teams in the implementation of the strategy for our software products to cover all quality aspects, such as performance & reliability.
• Close collaboration with development teams, product management and R&D management.
• Reporting on test results (incl. linkage to requirements and to test coverage) and further SW QA and business related KPI's.
• Ensuring that the architecture of test suites and frameworks remains robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.

This is you

• Strong software development skills in Python or another high-level programming language; experience with C#/.NET or C++ is a plus.
• Strong expertise in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering practices.
• Experience in test automation for embedded systems, such as Yocto-based platforms or RTOS environments such as Zephyr.
• Experience in designing and maintaining a lab infrastructure that enables local and remote access to embedded systems.
• Experience in API or contract-based automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing, including automated test generation, self-healing automation, and intelligent test optimization.
• Familiarity with AI driven quality analytics, predictive defect detection, and AI-supported defect analysis.
• Knowledge of agentic AI engineering for QA workflows, including evaluation and adoption of modern testing tools.
• High communication skills are mandatory and critical for success.
• Very open personality, driving things, self-organized, pro-active, reliable, having a strong attitude to "Getting things done".
