Job summary
Hexagon Geosystems seeks a Business Process & Data Engineer (m/f/d) for Operations in Heerbrugg. You will analyse, design and optimise end-to-end processes across Operations & Supply Chain, collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, planning, logistics and quality teams.
You will drive improvements, define KPIs, connect operations with financial insights, and shape our reporting and data landscape as we transition from SAP BW to a modern data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Business Informatics.
- Several years of experience in process management, business analysis or operational excellence.
- Experience in an international environment and familiarity with SAP
Responsibilities
- Analyse, design and document end-to-end processes across Operations & Supply Chain with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, procurement, planning, logistics and quality.
- Drive process improvements from opportunity identification through implementation.
- Define and harmonise KPIs for efficiency, quality and cost with consistent definitions and application.
- Link operational performance with financial insights to support better business decisions.
- Shape reporting and data landscape, including transitions from SAP BW to a modern data platform such as Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop reports and analyses hands-on to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Translate business needs into requirements for systems like SAP S/4HANA and our data platform.
- Act as the bridge between operational functions, business divisions, IT and Controlling in a global role with strong ties to Switzerland operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and apply AI to deliver practical solutions.

- Act as the link between operational functions, business divisions, IT and Controlling in a global role with a strong connection to our operations in Switzerland
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and AI, and contribute to developing and implementing practical solutions
- A degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in process management, business analysis or operational excellence, ideally in an industrial environment
- A proven track record of driving process improvements across multiple functions
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Operations & Supply Chain processes
- Strong skills in process analysis, modelling and documentation; familiarity with frameworks such as SCOR is an advantage
- Good understanding of data models and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- A conceptual mindset, combined with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and turn ideas into tangible results
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align people across functions without formal authority
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
- Experience in an international organisation, working across multiple sites, and familiarity with SAP, particularly SAP S/4HANA, are a plus
