Job summary

UC3, the joint venture formed by UEFA and European Football Clubs, is seeking a Business Operations Manager in the Waadt region. The role focuses on coordinating commercial programmes and delivering events in collaboration with UEFA Events SA, agencies and clubs.

You will oversee operational planning, stakeholder engagement and service delivery while driving continuous improvements across business support functions to ensure high-quality experiences for partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in sports administration, commercial operations or event management is required.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with UEFA structures or club football operations is a plus.

Main goal

Join UC3 – the joint venture set up by UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) to lead the global strategy, marketing, sales and commercial delivery of the most prestigious club competitions in world football, including the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Women’s Champions League,the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League.

As Business Operations Manager, you’ll play a central role facilitating the implementation of UC3’s commercial programmes and stakeholder initiatives through effective operational planning, coordination and execution. Acting as a central point of contact between UC3, its agencies (TEAM Marketing, Relevent Football Partners and Two Circles), UEFA, EFC and clubs, this role ensures that commercial objectives are translated into high-quality operational delivery while fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvements across key internal and external business processes. You’ll help guide, assess and shape the delivery of commercial services and partner commercial rights, ensuring a seamless experience for clubs and partners. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future development of European club football from the inside.

As well as delivering on UC3’s commercial objectives, you will also play a key role in ensuring that the various business services that UC3 employs (in particular in partnership with UEFA and UEFA Events SA) – across functions such as finance, HR, information technology, event management and facilities – are managed effectively and strategically, maintaining the highest quality relationships and standards in service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contributing to the development and implementation of effective collaboration frameworks with key stakeholders, including UEFA, UEFA Events SA, agencies, partners and clubs
• Supporting the planning and execution of operational workstreams with UC3’s agencies and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of agency-managed events, ensuring alignment with UC3’s objectives, stakeholder expectations and broader commercial strategy
• Managing the planning, coordination and delivery of club engagement initiatives, stakeholder forums and working groups, ensuring effective delivery, follow-up and implementation of agreed actions
• Leading strategic operational projects and events from a commercial perspective, including the development and implementation of new initiatives and programmes
• Working closely with UEFA Events SA and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of partner rights and promotional activities across UEFA club competitions
• Driving continuous improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance operational processes, stakeholder engagement and ways of working
• Coordinating key support services provided by UEFA to UC3, including information technology, travel, HR and facility management functions
• Managing UC3’s guest management and protocol activities, ensuring the highest standards of stakeholder experience
• Contributing to the establishment of sustainable operational structures that support the long-term success of UC3 and its stakeholders

Requirements

Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in the fields of sports administration, commercial operations and event management
• Qualifications and a strong track record in financial management would be an asset
• Familiarity with UEFA structures, EFC and club football operations would also be an asset

Education

• University degree in business, finance, sports management, international relations or a related field

Languages

• English / Proficient
• Proficiency in additional European language would be an asset
