Job summary

Optotune Switzerland AG in Dietikon is seeking a Business Development Manager to connect market needs with innovative optical solutions. You will identify trends, explore new applications, shape future products, and collaborate with sales to drive growth and customer value.

We require a MSc or equivalent and at least 5 years in technical sales, ideally in optics/photonics or machine vision; travel internationally will be expected. Fluency in English is essential; other languages helpful.

Tasks

• Strategic development of Optotune’s business in the imaging market
• Identification of customer pain points and where Optotune can add real value
• Development of strategic partnerships with key players of the ecosystem
• Market research & definition of new products
• Acquisition of new customers worldwide
• Creation of business plans, go-to-market strategies, sales & training materials
• Content creation for marketing materials
• Participation in trade shows

Requirements

• Must have technical background (MSc or equivalent)
• At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in optics/photonics or machine vision
• Experience in management consulting advantageous
• Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships
• Ability to understand customers' technical requirements and suggest solutions
• Passion for technology & innovation, winning personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally
• Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of , other languages advantageous
• working knowledge in MS Office applications & AI tools
