Job summary

Celonic-Ag in Basel seeks a Technician for Development & Process Optimization to support recombinant protein manufacturing processes using CHO cultures. You will execute experiments, prepare materials, collect data, and document results to ensure adherence to timelines.

The role requires hands-on lab experience, aseptic techniques, familiarity with DoE concepts, and strong data reporting. English communication is mandatory; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or life sciences.
• Hands-on knowledge in CLD, USP, DSP and/or Analytical Services.
• Data collection and report writing; IT skills.
• Aseptic techniques; working in biosafety cabinets.
• Good English; German is a plus.
• Meticulous with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments and apply standard lab practices under guidance within scope and timelines.
• Document executed work following internal guidelines.
• Support troubleshooting with Subject Matter Experts.
• Document batch results with a critical mind.
• Write protocols and SOPs using templates.
• Drive simple initiatives within the team.
• Support technology transfer activities as needed.
• Follow EHS procedures; maintain a clean, safe workspace and report unsafe conditions.
