Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Product Manager for Process Analytics – Biotechnology to shape the product vision and portfolio strategy for biotechnology applications. You will drive development, gather customer insights, and coordinate cross-functional teams through concept to launch in a global market.

The role requires a biotech or science background, 3+ years in technical product management, and fluency in English with German skills.

Qualifications

• Higher degree in biotechnology or another natural science with at least 3 years of work experience in product management of technical products.
• Proven project management experience introducing new analyzers or analytical instruments to the market.
• Experience with validation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, with marketing, networking, communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) with good German skills.
• Willingness to travel worldwide (up to 20–30%).

Responsibilities

• Assess market requirements and define product vision, portfolio strategy and positioning.
• Drive continuous product development across the sensor and analyzer portfolio for biotechnology applications.
• Represent product and market needs in R&D from concept through launch.
• Write product requirements specifications and define technical specifications with R&D.
• Organize and evaluate customer feedback, beta testing and field trials.
• Plan and lead end-to-end introduction of new sensors and analyzers, coordinating scope, timelines, budgets, resources and risks.
• Plan and execute global product launches.
• Manage and develop the assigned portfolio and communicate portfolio changes to the market.
• Create marketing and sales materials for new products with Marketing.
• Support local sales with product introductions, training, events and customer training.
