Job summary

Exyte Basel seeks an experienced biopharmaceutical process engineer to drive concepts through implementation at client facilities. You will lead or contribute to the Process Design Team, coordinating clients, engineers, and suppliers across all project phases.

Responsibilities include design through handover, commissioning and qualification, and supporting management from proposals to execution. Strong GMP knowledge and cross-cultural communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and industry standards.
• Several years of professional experience preferred, ideally including experience with single-use technologies.
• Experience within pharma/biotech engineering, supplier, or consulting is an advantage.
• Very good German and good English language skills; French is a plus.

As part of one of our project teams, you will be responsible for biopharmaceutical process engineering, from concept development through implementation, partly on-site at our clients' facilities.
In biopharmaceutical projects, you will either lead or be a member of the Process Design Team and coordinate all relevant stakeholders (client organizations, engineers, suppliers) throughout all project phases.

• Execution of biopharmaceutical process engineering activities from design through project handover, including commissioning and qualification
• Developing solutions for complex technical challenges and serving as a point of contact for colleagues on technical matters
• Supporting project management, from proposal preparation (scope definition, cost estimation, resource planning) through project execution (reporting) to final project handover to the client
• Contributing to the development of standards and guidelines within your area of expertise

Show your expertise

• BSc or MSc degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and industry standards
• Several years of professional experience preferred, ideally including experience with single-use technologies
• Experience within a technical organization in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a supplier, or an engineering/consulting company is an advantage
• Very good German and good English language skills (corporate language); French is a plus
