Job summary

Labcorp in Geneva seeks a Bioinformatics Intern to join the Precision Medicine/Genomics Team. The role is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential for an 80% schedule. The internship is paid and spans 5–6 months, starting preferably January 2026.

You will gain hands-on experience analyzing whole-genome sequencing data and contribute to ongoing genomic projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, learning reproducible workflows and engaging with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Bioinformatics or related field.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and analytical approaches.
• Familiarity with sequencing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret WGS and other genomic data to support R&D initiatives.
• Evaluate sequencing quality, coverage, callability, and variant detections.
• Develop data visualizations, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support reproducible bioinformatics workflows, scripts, and methods.
• Assist in evaluating emerging genomic analysis approaches.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists and multidisciplinary teams.
