Job summary

Adaptyv is building an automated lab where AI agents design and run biology experiments. This role sits in our biology and production team, developing protein expression systems, running molecular workflows, and scaling production to meet demand.

You will express proteins across cell-free and cell-based systems, perform high-throughput DNA synthesis/assembly, and characterize binding and activity using established assays, with a path toward automation of workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on molecular biology experience at bench level.
• Proven ability to express soluble, functional recombinant proteins.
• Experience with high-throughput DNA synthesis and assembly methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize protein expression workflows (cell-free, E. coli, potentially mammalian).
• Troubleshoot expression, folding, and aggregation issues.
• Design and execute DNA synthesis/assembly protocols (PCR, Golden Gate, Gibson).
• Improve yield, fidelity, and throughput of workflows.
• Develop or adapt assays for thermostability, developability, enzyme activity, or related metrics.
• Work at the bench, analyze data, and iterate protocols.
