Job summary

Worldline Switzerland is hiring for an enthusiastic software engineer to join the Acquiring Global Products back-office team in Zurich. You will build and evolve a large, mission-critical payments platform used by merchants worldwide, embracing end-to-end ownership from analysis to operation.

You will work in a DevOps environment using Java, Spring, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, and containerized infrastructure. Fluent German and English are required to collaborate effectively with global colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring (Boot) and SQL/PL-SQL.
• Experience with container technologies and CI/CD tooling.
• Fluency in German and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a large, business-critical platform that merchants rely on daily.
• Work in an agile DevOps team covering full lifecycle from analysis to support.
• Develop backend solutions using Java and Spring (Boot).
• Work with Oracle databases (SQL/PL-SQL) as a core part of the landscape.
• Operate in a hybrid infrastructure with containers and bare-metal environments.
• Ship with CI/CD and infrastructure automation (GitLab CI, Ansible).
• Engage in on-call / stand-by rotation as part of the role.
