Embotech in Zurich is seeking a V&V Lead / Delivery Manager for the Autonomous Vehicle Marshaling (AVM) System Team to own system verification, validation, and release coordination for safety-critical software.

You will lead testing across ISO standards and coordinate releases across sites, ensuring documentation and traceability. This role offers an international environment with flexible hours and a Zurich headquarters.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master-level technical degree and strong systems engineering background.
• 5+ years of experience in system release, verification & validation within complex engineering environments.
• Deep knowledge of testing according to ISO 26262 / ISO 13849 / IEC 61508 and agile workflows.

Responsabilités

We are seeking a V&V Lead / Delivery manager for our Autonomous Vehicle Marshaling (AVM) System Team to guide the development of tests and verification process and coordinate the system releases. This is a high-impact role based at our headquarters in Zurich. As an AVM V&V Lead / Delivery Manager, you will take ownership of the full AVM system verification & validation and lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality, safety-critical systems. Your role will involve verification of the system for safety and security and to ensure that the system and software meet the high demands of performance and reliability. You will be responsible for the system release coordination and ensuring proper testing, verification, and documentation at system level.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of system level tests as well as the planning and execution of system-level releases for autonomous driving, ensuring successful deployment across multiple sites while accommodating a range of diverse use cases and feature requirements.
• Manage and contribute to the full system release lifecycle, including managing change requests, version control, coordinating integration, tracking validation, delivering documentation, and overseeing deployment activities.
• Manage system verification, from test cases definition to test execution and reporting.
• Driving the V-Model development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with security / safety requirements and standards.
• Ensuring rigorous documentation throughout the lifecycle, including requirements, design, test instructions, changelogs and release notes.
• Maintain a transparent and structured release calendar; clearly communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Facilitate Go/No-Go meetings, release readiness reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure traceability and documentation of all changes, configurations, validation results, and approvals. Manage execution of tests with operators and engineering team.
• Documentation of test results and looping back problems to technical teams.
• Define testing and documentation processes.

Requirements:

Must-have qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Medical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• Interest in systems & system engineering, software development lifecycle knowledge.
• 5+ years of experience in system release, verification & validation, or software delivery within complex engineering environments.
• Deep knowledge of testing according to ISO 26262, ISO13849 or IEC61508.
• Solid understanding of Agile development and system integration workflows.
• Self-driven team player with hands-on mentality.
• Excellent and proven organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• JIRA, GitHub, Codebeamer (or other ALM) knowledge.
