AYES is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for our Zurich, Switzerland operations. The role involves capturing system requirements, coordinating the design, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics systems in a safety-critical environment.

Ideal candidates have a university degree in electronics or aerospace engineering, 10+ years in aerospace or safety-critical industries, and strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FAA/EASA).

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or safety-critical industries working in systems engineering and avionics development
• University degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven experience in the design and development of integrated avionics systems
• Experience in military aviation environments is a plus
• Knowledge of tactical communication systems, datalink (Link 16), and radar systems is a strong plus
• Familiarity with FAA, EASA, or military aviation certification frameworks
• Fluent English (C1); German language skills are advantageous

• Capture and analyze system requirements, assess feasibility and contribute to architecture definitions
• Coordinate design, development, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics systems
• Support system integration activities and ensure aviation regulatory compliance
• Prepare and review system requirements documentation and certification reports
• Perform and review System Safety Assessments including FHA and related safety studies
• Interface with suppliers, customers, procurement teams, and certification authorities
• Contribute to technology development and innovation in avionics programs
• Provide engineering support to production, integration and customer support teams
