Job summary

Google DeepMind seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software tools that improve RTL quality and accelerate hardware compilation and EDA workflows. You will collaborate with hardware architects, compiler engineers, and ML researchers, building scalable automation libraries and production-ready solutions.

You will work on creating test problems in physics simulators, visualizing results, and testing algorithms on robots while leveraging a strong software engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
• 8 years of experience with SystemVerilog, hardware design, automation, design verification test.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software tools to improve RTL quality and accelerate hardware compilation and EDA tools.
• Profile, identify, and resolve performance bottlenecks in software tools to speed up optimization and synthesis cycles.
• Collaborate with hardware architects, compiler engineers, and ML researchers to bridge high-level representations and optimized RTL.
• Develop robust, scalable automation scripts and software libraries to streamline RTL generation and optimization workflows.
• Work with product engineering teams to bring software tools to production quality.
