Zusammenfassung

Auterion is seeking a Production Engineer to join the Test Engineering team, owning verification and production test equipment from concept to mass production of drone platforms. You will write Python and STM32 firmware, build automated test solutions, jigs, and adapters, and collaborate across software and hardware teams to improve test coverage.

You will also visit OEMs to support new product integrations and assist small-scale engineering runs in person, ensuring scalable, efficient testing

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in modern Python and C/C++ also applied to embedded systems.
• 5+ years of experience in programming software that runs on real hardware and testing it on real hardware.
• CAD experience (e.g., Onshape) and soldering skills are required.
• Practical experience in Linux, microcontroller programming, 3D printing, and related prototyping tools.
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Research, design and build test solutions, including auto generated, 3D printed test equipment and CNC milled custom test jigs, and needle‑bed adapters to enable low‑volume prototyping and mid‑to‑high‑volume PCB production.
• Plan and execute product verification, covering test case definition, execution, analysis, and comprehensive documentation, also for repair guidance.
• Write Python code and STM32 firmware to test our embedded products from the inside (selftest) and outside (via test fixture).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams by offering technical guidance and hands‑on support for testing and validation of advanced avionics PCBs and modular systems.
• Specify and document additional manufacturer tests (like flying probe) to allow for a layered, holistic approach to test coverage.
• Write Repair Guides that document the error cases and the affected components.
• Guide manufacturers with new product integrations usually in person in the factory.
• Manage tracking systems across multiple locations to inspect the product workflow.
• Support internal CI systems with real hardware to validate test procedures before upgrading test fixtures at OEMs.
