Zusammenfassung

Auterion is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our interdisciplinary hardware engineering team focused on drone platforms. You will design avionics PCBs, sensors and electronic modules from concept to production, enabling advanced embedded systems for vision, control, and sensing under real-world flight conditions.

You will collaborate with software and test teams to ensure robust designs, performance, and manufacturability, while contributing to documentation, validation, and process

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in PCB design and electronic product development, including prototyping, layout, and testing.
• Good understanding of mixed-signal PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity principles.
• Hands-on experience with PCB testing and troubleshooting, including basic EMC considerations.
• Experience with Altium Designer is highly desirable.

Aufgaben

• Design, prototype, and validate avionics PCBs, sensors, and electronic modules for drone platforms, contributing to designs from initial concepts through detailed design and manufacturing.
• Support PCB and product verification activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation; contribute to electrical and mechanical validation such as EMI/EMC compliance testing, thermal cycling, and mechanical shock testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design concepts, schematics and CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and repair documentation.
• Collaborate with test engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support the transition of hardware designs from development to production.
• Work with hardware and software engineers to define electronics requirements, system interfaces, and design solutions.
• Support troubleshooting and design improvements based on test results, production feedback, and field performance.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and best practices within the hardware team.

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be a member of our interdisciplinary hardware engineering team, contributing to the design and development of electronics for our next-generation drone platforms. You’ll work on electronic modules such as flight controllers, sensors, and vision systems, supporting PCB development from concept through production.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to advanced systems such as interceptor and reconnaissance drones with integrated visual navigation, as well as quadcopters for defense applications.

• Hands-on experience with PCB testing and troubleshooting, including basic EMC considerations
• Experience with Altium Designer is highly desirable
• Experience with high-power applications, ESCs, and lithium batteries is an advantage
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional hardware/software team
• Good problem-solving and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks
• CH/EU citizenship required
