Job summary
Ekium Switzerland seeks an Automation Engineer / Technical Leader to shape automation projects in biotech and pharma sectors. You will lead design studies, code automation systems, and ensure testing and commissioning meet client specs.
Strong PLC/DCS experience and English proficiency are essential. The role requires guiding engineers, defining coding standards, and coordinating with clients across fixed-price projects in demanding environments.
Qualifications
- Holds a Federal VET Diploma in Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ automation experience on fixed-price projects.
- Strong PLC programming and DCS knowledge; able to work in demanding environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and understand client specifications and technical constraints.
- Lead design studies and implement automation systems.
- Write general and detailed functional specifications.
- Define and maintain programming standards within the team.
- Develop and supervise automation systems (including coding).
- Set up and validate testing methods and write test protocols.
- Manage acceptance and commissioning phases with the client.
- Provide technical supervision to engineers and technicians as needed.
- Participate in client commissioning and produce meeting minutes.
