Job summary

CTC Resourcing Solutions recruiting an automation engineer for a 12-month, onsite contract in the Valais region, Switzerland.

Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects, configure control strategies, graphics, alarms, and interfaces within DeltaV.

Prepare GMP/GxP-compliant documentation, support integration with equipment, PLCs, MES and plant systems, and drive FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ testing along with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering and configuration.
• Experience developing and maintaining GxP documentation in regulated industries.
• Knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within CAPEX project environments.

Responsibilities

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a automation engineer within their team. This is a 12 months, fully onsite contract role to be based in the Valais area, Switzerland. Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects.
• Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms, and process automation applications within the DeltaV environment.
• Prepare and maintain GxP-compliant engineering and validation documentation according to company standards.
• Support integration of DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES, and other plant systems.
• Execute and document testing, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ).
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, communication, and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality, and Project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
