Gi Group is partnering with a pharmaceutical client in Muttenz to recruit an Automation Engineer (all genders) for a temporary assignment. You will support, optimize, and develop automation solutions for production and infrastructure systems in a dynamic industrial setting.

This role welcomes both experienced automation professionals and motivated juniors who have completed apprenticeships or internships, offering hands-on opportunities across OT, SCADA, and process control environments.

Qualifikationen

• 2–3+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Process Automation or OT Engineering.
• Experience supporting technical equipment and production systems in an operations/mfg environment.
• Junior candidates with relevant apprenticeships or internships are welcome to apply.
• Fluent English is required; German is a strong advantage.

• Support the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of automation systems across manufacturing and infrastructure facilities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems, equipment, and technical processes.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and operations teams.
• Participate in automation projects, system upgrades, and process optimization initiatives.
• Ensure automation solutions comply with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to implement technical solutions.
• Assist in maintaining and improving plant performance through efficient automation and control strategies.

For our Pharmaceutical Client based in Muttenz we are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer (all genders) for a temporary assignment to support, optimize, and develop automation solutions for production and infrastructure systems within a dynamic industrial setting.

This role is ideal for both experienced automation professionals and motivated junior candidates who have gained relevant practical experience through apprenticeships, internships, or early-career engineering roles.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of automation systems across manufacturing and infrastructure facilities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems, equipment, and technical processes.
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and operational teams.
• Participate in automation projects, system upgrades, and process optimization initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 2-3+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Process Automation, OT Engineering, or a similar role.
• Experience working in an operational or manufacturing environment supporting technical equipment and production systems.
• Junior candidates are also encouraged to apply if they have completed a relevant apprenticeship and possess practical automation experience.
• Fluent English is required.
• German is a strong advantage.
