Job summary

International Trade Centre (ITC) in Geneva seeks an Associate Programme Officer to support the Africa Trade Competitiveness and Market Access (ATCMA) programme. You will assist in research, data collection, and analysis, contributing to policy coordination and evaluation efforts across workshops and action plans.

The role involves outreach activities, meetings, and field-data collection to drive SME export competitiveness and value-chain development, with focus on women- and youth-led businesses

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management.
• Experience in SME competitiveness and international trade desirable.
• Experience working with regional economic communities (RECs) is an asset.
• Languages: French and English required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic research on ATCMA programmes and collect/analyze data.
• Provide substantive support for policy coordination and evaluation functions.
• Assist with consulting assignments, facilitate workshops, and develop action plans.
• Contribute to written outputs such as background papers and reports.
• Provide administrative and substantive support for meetings and conferences.
• Assist with outreach activities, training workshops and presentations.
• Support field missions, including data collection.
• Coordinate budget-related activities, project preparation, and progress reporting.
