Bachem in Bubendorf seeks an Associate CMC Project Manager to coordinate customer and internal R&D projects, leading cross-functional teams. You will ensure on-time, within-scope delivery and act as primary contact for project-related questions and coordination.

The role emphasizes ownership, documentation, and proactive risk management, with opportunities to advance toward senior PM responsibilities in a dynamic biotech setting.

Qualifications

• BSc with 3+ years in biopharma/pharma/CDMO/chemical industry; or MSc with 1+ year experience.
• Customer-facing project management experience preferred.
• Exposure to GMP-regulated environment is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English (C1); German language skills are an advantage for Bubendorf site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage customer and internal R&D projects with cross-functional teams of 3-10 members.
• Ensure project deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and in line with customer agreements and contracts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project-related questions, issues, and coordination activities.
• Drive ownership and accountability for all project deliverables across the project team.
• Structure, coordinate, and monitor project activities using established tools, systems, and processes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action lists, and project plans.
• Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactively identify risks, challenges, and mitigation measures to support project success.
• Support continuous process improvements and contribute to project management best practices.
• Develop towards a leading project management role with increasing responsibility.
