Zusammenfassung

Vistra in Zurich is seeking an Associate, Accounting Services to join our Markets - EME team and support our client portfolio. This full-time permanent role reports to the Accounting Manager and offers regional coverage, enabling meaningful impact across clients and services.

Key duties include maintaining client accounting, assisting with annual financial statements, and handling VAT and tax returns with strict deadline monitoring. Fluency in German and English is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 2–3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent in German and English (B2); other languages are advantageous.
• Experience in a professional services environment is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Maintain clients accounting incl. subledgers.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements.
• Assist the team in responding to accounting and tax enquiries.
• Preparation of tax and VAT returns.
• Responsibility for and monitoring of deadlines for VAT and tax returns, as well as extensions.

Purpose of Role

Managing portfolio of clients and supporting team in general.

Scope

• Direct reports, self-starting and independent, handles client work related to accounting, value-added tax, and direct taxes;

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain clients accounting incl. subledgers
• Assistance with the preparation of the annual financial statements
• Assisting the team in responding to accounting and tax enquiries
• Preparation of tax and VAT returns
• Responsibility for and monitoring of deadlines for VAT and tax returns, as well as deadline extensions

Attributes/Technical Skills

• Essential: Communication & collaboration skills, responsible and proactive, fluent in German and English (B2), any other languages are an advantage
• Desirable: Abacus, Microsoft tools

Relevant Experience

• Essential: Working in a professional services environment
• Desirable: International environment

Education and Professional Qualification

• Essential: 2 - 3 years of professional experience
• Desirable: Further education in accounting
