The role requires fluent English and French, strong knowledge of international shipping, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years in international shipping.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping and logistics, including import/export procedures, customs regulations, transportation methods and current packing methods.
• Action oriented with skills to excel in a fast paced client-focused environment.
• Proactive communicator and solution oriented.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours when necessary.

Aufgaben

• Arrange shipping and associated logistics requirements for all property.
• Work closely with Pre Sale and Post Sale colleagues to deliver an integrated client experience.
• Monitor and respond to quote requests in a timely manner in line with service levels.
• Serve as a direct contact for buyers after Sotheby’s auctions for post-sale enquiries.
• Manage end-to-end post-sale shipping, from enquiry to delivery.
• Address shipping inquiries and resolve issues to successful conclusions.
• Obtain quotes from shippers and select optimal options.
• Assess shipment requirements (transport, packing) and enter data in systems.
• Apply for CITES licenses or other licenses as applicable.
• Coordinate with vendors on packing, transport and security instructions.
• Determine customs tariff classifications for internationally traded property.
• Monitor shipment progress and liaise with vendors on status and KPIs.
• Ensure shipments comply with laws and regulations.
• Consolidate property shipments to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Maintain and scan shipping-related documentation.
• Prepare customs documents and submit to regulators or shippers.
