Job summary

Thomson Reuters Labs is seeking an Applied Science Intern with a passion for machine learning and NLP. This six-month internship will join a diverse global team across information retrieval, NLP, ML, engineering and design.

It offers hands-on experience from ideation to deployment within Thomson Reuters' AI transformation. Internship details include a six-month duration with a flexible start date and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or holding MSc in Machine Learning, NLP, CS, or pursuing a PhD in a related field.
• Hands-on NLP/ML with exposure to Large Language Models.
• Proficiency in Python and DL/NLP frameworks.
• Experience designing and evaluating ML experiments with a data-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a diverse, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full model development lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams across time zones.
• Experiment with new approaches and contribute ideas in information retrieval and NLP.
