The World Economic Forum is seeking a Practice Engineer to lead the API platform across product streams, defining standards and maintaining architectural coherence. You will stay hands-on in API design, governance, and the OpenAPI process, while guiding engineers through RFC reviews and weekly office hours.

You will own deployment processes, CI/CD tooling, and cross-team collaboration with IT and security to ensure stability and compliant applications.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of API management experience and shipping products at scale.
• Ability to set technical standards and drive adoption across multiple teams.
• Deep command of API design — REST, GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven, OpenAPI-based governance.
• Strong programming with at least one major API language/framework (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go).
• Familiar with modern infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and security practices.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in an international organization.

Aufgaben

• Own API design standards (REST/GraphQL/Event-Driven) and OpenAPI docs, versioning and deprecation policy.
• Lead architecture decisions and drive adoption across product teams through influence.
• Coach engineers via office hours, code reviews, and RFC reviews; participate in hiring loops as technical-bar interviewer.
• Manage deployment processes and CI/CD tooling to support product teams; ensure stability and security.
