Hoffman La-Roche in Basel is seeking an Analytical Associate in Analytical Development for Synthetic Molecules. You will develop robust analytical methods (HPLC, GC, LC-MS) to support API release for clinical trials and commercial supply, and collaborate across PD, QC and process development.

The role requires hands-on instrumentation, detail-oriented documentation, and strong English communication; German is a plus. Start date 01.11.2026, duration 12 months, on-site Basel.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, KF, MS).
• Excellent scientific writing and documentation skills.
• High quality awareness and attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Development and optimization of robust analytical methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, KF) for the quality assessment of starting materials, intermediates, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
• Planning and meticulous execution of experiments, including reaction monitoring and method development.
• Close collaboration with process development and cross-functional partners to coordinate analytical activities and sample management.
• Cooperation with the QC unit to ensure smooth transfer of developed analytical methods.
• Preparation of high-quality documentation, including analytical procedures and reports supporting method validation and regulatory submissions.
• Use of innovative approaches and digital tools to continuously improve analytical workflows.
