Partners Group is seeking an AI Engineer to develop production-grade, LLM-powered AI solutions. You will work in a highly collaborative, agile environment embedding responsible AI, data governance, and risk controls from day one.

You will lead end-to-end AI product delivery, from discovery, problem definition, to pilot, production handover and scaling reusable capabilities across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including financial services exposure
• 2+ years delivering ML/AI solutions to production (LLM-enabled apps)
• Strong Python skills and maintaining enterprise-grade software
• Understanding of SDLC, version control, and modern DevOps practices
• Ability to translate business needs into clear scopes, roadmaps, and measurable metrics

What it's about

As an AI Engineerin our Pods, you will work at the heart of the business to identify, validate, and deliver AI solutions that create measurable outcomes. You will buildproduction-grade, LLM-powered products end-to-end, moving quickly from discovery to first value, then scaling what works through reusable capabilities and strong governance over trusted, AI-ready data. This role combines real business impact with advanced applied AI (e.g.,RAG, agents, extraction, evaluation) in a highly collaborative, agile environment whereresponsible AI, data governance, and risk controlsare embedded from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and scope high-impact AI use cases, including buy-vs-build assessments
• Design and deliver AI products end-to-end, from problem definition through prototype, pilot, and production handover
• Build AI-powered solutions including data pipelines, retrieval systems, and reasoning workflows
• Integrate with vendor AI platforms and internal AI solutions, reusing existing capabilities where possible
• Instrument solutions to track adoption, quality, business value, ROI, cost, and risk
• Partner with technology teams to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, auditable, and maintainable
• Run rapid evaluation cycles and contribute reusable components, patterns, and tools for wider adoption

What we expect

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including financial services exposure and strong understanding of markets
• 2+ years delivering ML/AI solutions to production, including end-to-end delivery of LLM-enabled applications (from prototyping to deployment and monitoring)
• Strong Python skills and proven ability to design and build maintainable, high-quality software in enterprise environments
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, and modern DevOps practices
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear scopes, roadmaps, and measurable success metrics

Nice to have:

• AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (or equivalent)
• Experience working with confidential data and partnering with governance, risk, and security stakeholders
