Job summary

Zurich is seeking a Catastrophe Modeling Analyst to bridge our Catastrophe Modelling team for Europe and Asia Pacific with the underwriting community. You will translate model outputs, hazard information and engineering insights into clear guidance that helps underwriters understand and steer catastrophe exposure.

You will develop AI-powered tools and reports to deliver insights quickly and at scale, build a strong network across Zurich's underwriting community, and deepen hands-on catastrophe

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in catastrophe underwriting with daily use of model outputs or hazard data.
• Hands-on experience using AI to support underwriting work.
• Understanding of AAL and exceedance probability curves in underwriting decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to explain technical content.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key link to the underwriting community, turning complex technical content into clear, practical insight for underwriters and portfolio managers.
• Use catastrophe model outputs, hazard information, and engineering insights to support underwriting and portfolio management at country and regional levels.
• Design and build tools, reports and AI-powered capabilities to bring catastrophe risk insights faster to underwriting.
• Build and maintain a wide network across Zurich's underwriting community to translate needs into modelling priorities.
