Job summary

Try&Hire is seeking a data and AI infrastructure engineer to develop and operate the technical foundations of an internal generative AI solution. You will shape data architectures, pipelines and standards for scalable AI in an engineering organization.

You'll design scalable data systems, build vector databases (RAG) and graph databases, ensure secure operation, evaluate models and technologies, and collaborate with IT while prioritizing data protection and IT security. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science, data engineering, business informatics or comparable field.
• Experience building modern data and AI solutions.
• Sound knowledge of cloud architectures (e.g. Azure).
• Experience with data pipelines, MLOps and database integrations.
• Experience with vector databases and RAG systems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and Docker.
• Fluent English required; basic German is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures and data pipelines for an internal generative AI solution.
• Build vector databases (RAG) and graph databases.
• Ensure secure and reliable operation of the AI solution.
• Evaluate suitable AI models and new technologies.
• Define technical standards for platforms, APIs and models.
• Ensure quality of data integrations through testing.
• Collaborate closely with IT and other departments, considering data protection and IT security.
