Job summary

Speechify remote team is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to build data pipelines powering model training and AI products. You will design and operate data systems that scale, collaborate with AI scientists, and own projects from discovery to delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend software experience, strong Python/Bash skills, and a track record building production data pipelines. Remote work with competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery through implementation and improvement.
