Zusammenfassung

The International School of Zug and Luzern seeks a Substitute Teacher for the Middle School (Gr 6 – Gr 8) at the Zug Campus to cover for absent teachers. The position is offered on an as-needed basis with hours not guaranteed and works under the direction of the Assistant Principals.

You will follow daily plans, support students with diverse needs, provide feedback, and assist with outdoor learning and supervision. The role requires teamwork, discretion, and a professional, friendly approach.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified and experienced teacher preferably across a range of ages.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work well in a team and also take initiative.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
• Pleasant and friendly personality.
• Candidates must have Swiss or EU passport or valid Swiss work permit.

Aufgaben

• Provide cover for teachers in the Middle School under the direction of the Assistant Principals.
• Be aware of students with medical, learning (EAL/LS), or behavioral needs.
• Closely follow the day plans/guide provided by the teacher.
• Provide appropriate feedback to students about their learning.
• Be mindful of routines and explain changes to students.
• Provide feedback to the teacher about the day’s learning and concerns.
• Communicate in general terms to parents, referring questions to the teacher.
• Support students and faculty in outdoor learning and lunchroom supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal or Assistant Principals.
