ABB in Switzerland seeks an IS/Functional Analyst to support operations and software development. You will translate business needs into clear specifications for local or global teams, act as SME for IS applications, and drive improvements across divisions in Switzerland.

Hybrid work model with a minimum 60% on-site presence. Collaboration with business process owners, application owners and global IS teams is key to delivering cost-effective, compliant solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Higher education degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics (University, University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent.
• Experience with requirements analysis and change management across the SDLC.
• Scrum or general Agile knowledge and Design Thinking knowledge advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Formulate user stories with business stakeholders and translate needs for development teams.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in IS applications and participate in projects to modify or introduce IS solutions.
• Support IS power users, resolve incidents, and validate IS solutions in staging with test scripts.
• Manage a specific IS application including budget responsibility and procure services for internal users.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical, business process and data advice to support ongoing operations and new software development. Each day, you will expand and utilize your knowledge on IS applications and emerging technologies. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing the development, and validating the functionality, of the final IS application.

This role is contributing to all local divisions in Switzerland. Main stakeholders are business process owners, application owners and function managers across all organizational levels as well as local and global IS teams (architects, developers, IS security specialists, compliance specialists).

The work model for the role is: hybrid (min. 60% on site)

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Jointly with business stakeholders formulating user stories which document and "translate" business requirements into specifications for local or global development/support teams. Collaborating with these teams to ensure the use case and business user needs are understood.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in ongoing operations of IS applications, and participating in projects to introduce new or modify existing IS solutions/services, by contributing technology, business process and data expertise.
• Supporting IS application power-users in resolving incidents and in further developing the functionality. Supporting them also in validating and user acceptance testing IS application solutions in stage environment. Formulating test scripts according to acceptance criteria.
• Managing a specific IS application (for management of industrial standards), including budget responsibility. Providing efficient, requirement-compliant, and cost-effective provision and procurement of services for internal user groups.

Qualifications for the Role:

• Higher education degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics (University, University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent.
• Fluent English and good German language skills (spoken and written).
• Practical experience as an IS Functional Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably in an international environment. Experience as an IS Application Manager or IS Service Manager is advantageous.
• Commitment to building trusted relationships to and consensus among various stakeholders. Ability to collaborate and communicate self-reliantly with all management levels.
• Practical experience in requirements analysis and change management, as well as with the Software Development Lifecycle. Scrum or general Agile knowledge and Design Thinking knowledge are advantageous.
• Talent and fondness for planning, organization, coordination, and communication.
• Experience with or interest in industrial standards management or document management is an advantage.
