The role of Food & Beverage Manager is to lead the Food and Beverage (F&B) team within one of our seven Jasper Lodging (JL) properties. You will be responsible for leading our team to provide world-class service to lodge guests, visitors to Pyramid Lake, wedding parties, and conference attendees. The manager supervises daily restaurant operations, monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures, and ensures quality and guest satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves managing the operating budget and ensuring compliance with standards and legal obligations. Developing goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work is also essential.

What will you do in this job?
- Oversee all F&B outlets within the assigned JL property and support other Pursuit properties as needed
- Engage in daily operations and logistics of the organization
- Meet operational needs and financial objectives
- Deliver exceptional guest service consistently
- Report to the Operations Manager and Director of Food & Beverage Jasper
- Translate vision into actionable strategies to grow the business
- Lead and coach staff to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and best practices
- Understand employee roles sufficiently to perform duties in their absence
- Set goals, prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively
- Attract, train, and retain top talent, ensuring policies are followed
- Monitor employee productivity and team understanding of brand philosophy
- Manage budgets and ensure standards and legal requirements are met
- Support supervisors and assistant managers in understanding and exceeding guest expectations
- Celebrate successes and learn from failures
- Operate the business as if it were your own, with solutions-focused strategies
- Lead by example and maintain a positive environment
- Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and expense management
- Oversee inventory, staff scheduling, payroll, and gratuities
- Prioritize safety for employees and guests
- Utilize Pursuit’s Inventory Management System for accurate reporting
- Engage with guests for feedback and improve service levels
- Plan and execute functions, events, and menu launches
- Collaborate across teams and uphold sustainability initiatives
- Maintain core standards and monitor quality
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns
- Foster motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and passion for service
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage, preferably in a hotel setting
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment
- Experience with top-tier operating systems, staff development, and training
- Proven success managing large, complex operations
- Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to inspire followership through core values and best practices
- Excellent communication skills across multiple channels
- Experience guiding and monitoring a team of 50-150 employees
- Flexibility to perform hourly duties as needed
- Professionalism and courtesy at all times
- Understanding of budgets, financial statements, and payroll
- Ability to motivate teams to achieve quality and performance goals
- Broad experience in food and beverage activities, events, and functions
- Knowledge of wine, fine dining, and financial management is an asset
