Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the IT Applications Manager is responsible for the growth and leadership of the application teams within BBA’s Information Technology department. Due to our rapid growth, we are looking to hire a passionate, innovative, and experienced professional with an outstanding team spirit. The IT Applications Manager provides guidance for decision-making related to the selection, integration, operation, and use of all corporate applications. The incumbent will work closely with colleagues from the Infrastructure and Operations group as well as the Cybersecurity team.

• Supervise the work of all IT application teams.
• Lead, define, and execute all application-related initiatives, overseeing progress and budgets.
• Define scope, effort estimates, cost estimates, and project timelines for internal clients in specific sectors, including:
• Operations
• Finance
• Business Development
• Human Resources
• Project Management
• Manage the lifecycle of the company’s application portfolio (vendors, license governance, contract renewals, versions, and deployments).
• Enterprise solutions (document management systems, resource planning systems, learning management systems, applicant tracking systems, and more).
• Cloud services (Azure, AWS).
• Data orchestration and integration services.
• Productivity and digital workplace tools (Microsoft 365, Citrix, Teams, OneDrive).
• Share knowledge and experience with others.
• Foster collaboration and innovation by researching new technology trends to adopt in the workplace.
• Oversee the implementation of DevOps methodology within various product teams.
• Define and manage relevant performance indicators and use them to track and optimize work.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in French and English). These skills will be used to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, business concepts to technologists, publish content on these topics, and advocate for ideas and processes at all levels of the company, including the Board of Directors.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally to work in other BBA offices.
• Experience in strategic technology planning and implementation, and in developing and updating policies.
• Ability to effectively guide and support changes affecting employees, processes, and technology in a dynamic and complex operational environment.
• Courage to propose or support bold ideas.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work across several teams.
• Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 to 15 years of work experience, preferably in business or IT management—and ideally a combination of both—with at least 10 years in a leadership position.
• Asset: Knowledge of cloud computing.
• Asset: Knowledge of ERP systems (Deltek Maconomy, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
• Asset: Knowledge of data management and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Power BI, Business Objects).
• Asset: Extensive vendor network.
