Job description

Become part of a true Atlantic Canadian success story.

For over 50 years, TrueFoam has been a trusted manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation and packaging products, serving the construction, seafood, and industrial sectors across Atlantic Canada. Through operational successes, quality products, continued ownership and employee commitment, TrueFoam has become a leader in both its EPS insulation and Styropack packaging product lines. With an eye to the future, management philosophy continues to be a long-term financial stability through careful, controlled growth while remaining flexible and receptive to new opportunities.

With new ownership ushering in an exciting period of transformation, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team, drive performance, and uncover new growth opportunities in a dynamic and evolving industry.

About the Role:

Reporting to senior leadership, the Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in executing the sales strategy while fostering strong customer relationships and implementing sales strategies that support business growth. This role leads a team of Territory Managers and works cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company goals.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the development and execution of high-impact national and territory-specific sales strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable growth.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying strategic opportunities, optimizing sales planning, and building a robust business development pipeline.
  • Expand market reach by proactively identifying and cultivating new markets, key clients, and strategic partnerships that support long-term organizational success.
  • Oversee the development and management of sales budgets, revenue forecasts, and tactical execution plans, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals.
  • Inspire, coach, and mentor a team of Territory Managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and sales excellence.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring evolving industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to synchronize sales initiatives with product launches, promotional campaigns, and market-entry strategies.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance benchmarks, using dashboards and regular reporting to drive accountability, transparency, and informed decision-making.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in a sales management role (manufacturing, packaging, or construction industry preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze trends and drive growth
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Google Workspace or similar)
  • Sales certification (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Person) considered an asset
Key Attributes for Success:
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented
  • Analytical and curious, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and collaborative with a growth mindset
  • Confident decision-maker with a sense of ownership and accountability
