Job summary
A leading retail company in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to enhance the customer shopping experience. The ideal candidate has sales and customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. Responsibilities include engaging with customers, resolving their challenges, and maintaining knowledge of current sales and promotions. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Ability to work days/evenings/weekends (rotating shifts)
- Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution(s) for their projects.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
- Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions.
- Produce quotes, material lists, and follow-up.
- Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service.
- Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Continually learn about products and market conditions.
