PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinics.
- Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation according to policies, procedures, and standards set by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide education to patients and caregivers based on product monographs and program protocols, either individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints following Innomar policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability of services based on employment agreements to meet the needs of the IBU and key performance indicators.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet timelines.
- Coordinate with patients and caregivers for appointment setup and drug delivery to homes and clinics.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and work collaboratively within the healthcare team, delegating tasks as authorized.
- Travel within designated IBUs as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and health and safety standards.
- Complete ongoing education and training within specified timeframes.
- Perform other duties as required and be available on standby/on call if necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience preferred.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care, or homecare settings.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA, and experience with central venous lines/ports are assets.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and internet use.
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work independently and travel within the area.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry and business acumen are assets.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
The successful candidate may have daily contacts with English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
