Job description
THE TEAM

The mission of the Omni Solution Delivery Department is to design, build, deliver, and operate robust, efficient, and scalable Omni technology solutions that align with our strategic business and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing , and our Omni Solution Delivery team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving omni-channel technology solutions. As the Principal Architect, Omni Technology, you will lead the design of Aritzia's next-generation technology architecture across our omni-channel landscape , with a focus on RFID . This is a pivotal role that combines deep technical architecture experience with strong business acumen, and has direct experience with RFID, inventory visibility, and end-to-end fulfillment architecture. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Global Architecture and other Technology teams to engineer the data and systems flow across the end-to-end product journey - from manufacturing and sourcing through distribution centres and fulfillment, all the way to our retail boutiques. You will lead omni-channel initiatives from a solution architecture perspective, shape our technical direction, and ensure what's designed gets built right . With your valuable contribution to the business in this role, the opportunities are endless - from a rewarding career in Technology to continued growth and development within Aritzia.

THE ROLE

As the Principal Architect, Omni Technology, you will:

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chief Manufacturing Officer, and other senior leaders, influencing decisions that drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term value creation.
  • Focus on building scalable, intelligent, and integrated solutions that connect upstream manufacturing data, inbound transportation visibility, RFID-enabled inventory tracking, and downstream order fulfillment and customer experience.
  • Define the omni technology architecture roadmap , spanning RFID, ASN, order management, and inventory visibility from vendor through to end consumer .
  • Architect the end-to-end RFID solution across product lifecycle - source tagging at origin, RFID labeling and encoding at DCs, reader infrastructure across warehouse and stores, and integration into fulfillment and store operations .
  • Lead architecture of ASN (Advance Ship Notices) and partner integrations using platforms such as Infor Nexus and Project44, ensuring seamless upstream visibility and transportation event tracking .
  • Architect inventory orchestration and fulfillment logic, including flow-through models, dynamic allocation, and real-time inventory synchronization across channels .
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Global Architecture to align sequencing, technical patterns, and long-term platform strategies .
  • Partner with the Enterprise Integration team and technology product teams to enable high-quality APIs, message orchestration, and data flow across platforms .
  • Drive innovation pilots including RFID deployment strategies, smart inventory automation, and edge computing at the store .
  • Lead vendor evaluations and integration patterns for critical components including RFID readers, encoding platforms, middleware, and visibility layers .
  • Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance across a matrixed team of developers, product owners, infrastructure engineers, and integration leads .

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Principal Architect , Omni Technology , has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with 10+ years leading supply chain, RFID, and omni-channel technology programs in global retail or consumer goods environments

Deep expertise in:

  • RFID strategy and infrastructure , including source tagging, encoding, fixed and handheld reader deployment, middleware (e.g., SML, Nedap , Radar Labs, Impinj, Sensormatic , Mojix ), and read event processing
  • Inbound logistics and visibility platforms, especially Infor Nexus or equivalent tools (e.g., GT Nexus, FourKites )
  • Inventory visibility platforms, real-time stock tracking, and allocation logic
  • Order management systems (OMS) and fulfillment orchestration across DTC, store, and flow-through models
  • ASN generation and lifecycle tracking, vendor onboarding, and compliance monitoring
  • API-led integration and event-driven architecture (preferably with platforms like MuleSoft, Kafka, or Azure Integration Services)
  • Demonstrated success in designing and deploying global RFID or inventory orchestration solutions with measurable business impact
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing, vendor collaboration, inbound supply chain, and how upstream data can optimize downstream fulfillment
  • Strong grasp of IT infrastructure and network architecture, especially relevant to RFID hardware, edge computing, and store/DC network topology
  • Experience in cloud-based architecture (e.g., Azure, AWS), microservices, and data patterns
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and DevOps tooling (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, Confluence, Panaya )
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • Ability to influence and communicate with C-suite stakeholders, bridging strategy and execution across business and technology domains

  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
  • A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value
