Volunteers make a difference in resident’s lives by providing comfort, companionship and assisting residents during recreation programs such as music, bowling, crib, bingo, fitness, baking, crafts, special events, and much more! Ideal for those 17+ To Apply: www.capitalcare.net under the volunteer tab select apply, then select CapitalCare Grandview or whichever center is close to you.Volunteering can be done independently or with recreation staff who provide opportunity and support to volunteers to the Long-Term Care residents living at Grandview. Encouraging resident involvement in recreation programming and individual leisure activities. Volunteers assist with therapeutic program set up. Engaging, and assisting residents during programming and porter residents to and from activities. Recreation scheduled activities generally happen Monday to Friday during the day with some early evening programs. Qualifications• Enjoys socializing with residents in continuing care Available weekdays either mornings between 10 - 12 or afternoons between 2 and 4pm• Accepts direction and follows guidelines • Good English communication skills and positive attitude. • Ability to porter • Reliable, independent and trustworthy • Ongoing, daytime volunteers are preferred who are 17+ are especially neededTo Apply: www.capitalcare.net

• English speaking, good communication skills, enjoys assisting / socializing with residents in continuing care • Independent yet accepts direction and follows guidelines • Positive friendly attitude. • Some ability to porter - no lifting necessary.• Reliable, independent and trustworthy • Flexible commitment Daytime, early evening, some Saturday and Sunday. *Ongoing regular weekday daytime volunteers are especially needed.
