Job summary
A healthcare organization in Canada is seeking a Radiological Technologist responsible for producing diagnostic radiographs and performing procedures with a focus on patient safety. The ideal candidate must hold CAMRT certification and have graduated from an accredited radiology technology program. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Qualifications

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
The Radiological Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician; applies radiation safety principles and practices to protect patients, staff, and the general public; and completes required documentation and administrative tasks.
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
- Graduation from an approved radiology technology program.
- Eligible for membership in the CAMRT.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Physical ability to meet the requirements of the job.
- Ability to operate related equipment, such as a computer.
