Job summary

CHIMO Youth Retreat Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker to help young people build skills for adulthood. The role requires driving in the community, a three-week rotating schedule with evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.

You will provide case management, develop safety plans, and collaborate with families, caregivers, and service providers to ensure coordinated care. A valid Alberta driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum two years’ experience supporting children, youth, or young adults.
• Experience with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, trauma, or barriers to community resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write professional reports.
• Valid Alberta Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized case management and ongoing support for your caseload.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate Safety Plans and Service Plans.
• Collaborate with youth, families, caregivers, service providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care.
• Connect youth with community resources to promote long-term success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and professional reports.
• Advocate for youth with strengths-based, person-centred supports.
