Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada seeks a Residential Caseworker for Crossroads Residential Services Bethany Home to support youth through case planning, counselling, and community referrals.

You will work under the Program Coordinator, conducting intakes, developing SMART case plans, coordinating with MSS Social Workers, and maintaining confidential records while promoting safety and well-being for residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal post-secondary/college program of two academic years in Social Services, Human Services, or any other relevant fields.
• Certification in Mental Health & Addictions would be an asset.
• CPR First Aid (Non-violent Crisis Intervention certicate or willingness to obtain).
• Current Driver's license and driving abstract.
• Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with MSS Social Workers and other staff to develop and follow case plans.
• Conducts intake, develops SMART goals, and documents stabilization plans.
• Provides individual counselling, promotes safety, and supports housing and education goals.
• Maintains client records, confidentiality, and reports progress to the Program Coordinator.
• Coordinates with external agencies to meet client needs and safety plans.
• Participates in case conferences and reviews with team members.
