Job summary

Listuguj Community Social Services Directorate is seeking a Youth Care Worker to support local youth in building healthy lifestyles through sports, recreation, and positive role modeling. You will guide youth, promote active living, and help develop self-esteem and leadership through structured programs.

The role involves leading activities, monitoring safety, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff to foster a supportive, respectful environment for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and youth program delivery.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Physically able to perform duties.
• Criminal Record check required.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with youth and implement intervention strategies.
• Lead programs in a positive and professional manner.
• Supervise activities and ensure safety during programs.
• Document progress of the Youth Centre Program.
• Maintain a neat, clean environment for all spaces.
• Enforce Youth Centre regulations and expectations.
• Assist with training new staff/volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings, planning sessions and trainings as required.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• All duties and responsibilities are inclusive but not exhaustive.
