Overhang in Prince George is seeking enthusiastic youth coaches to share a passion for climbing with local youth.
You will design engaging, age-appropriate programs for ages 3-17, lead after-school sessions, and work with co-coaches to ensure safe, progressive coaching.
Starting wage is $18.50 per hour with primarily 3:00 PM–5:00 PM weekday availability; training is provided and growth into additional gym operations is possible.
Our Youth Program Coaches create engaging and supportive environments that foster curiosity, confidence, and growth for both new and returning climbers. Through age-appropriate programming, coaches help participants develop climbing skills, movement literacy, problem-solving abilities, and a lifelong love of physical activity.
Our after-school youth programs run throughout the week, Monday through Friday, following the School District 57 calendar. We offer programs for youth ages 3-17, including specialized programming for neurodivergent participants and private coaching opportunities.
This position does not require availability every weekday. Coaches are assigned to specific programs based on availability, qualifications, and program needs. Successful applicants may coach one or multiple weekly programs.

Starting wage is $18.50 per hour.
We are primarily looking for individuals who have availability between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM on weekdays. Coaches are not required to work Monday through Friday and may be scheduled for one or more weekly programs depending on their availability and our programming needs. We understand that the ideal candidate may be a student, and we're willing to work around school schedules where possible!
This role has the potential to grow into additional gym operations, coaching, instructional, or outdoor education opportunities as both the employee and OVERhang see fit.
