Job summary

Grace Community Church in Guelph, Ontario seeks a full-time Youth Pastor to lead and disciple students in Grades 7–12. You will cast vision, plan weekly programming, and build a team of volunteers while partnering with families and the church staff.

The role requires a vibrant faith, leadership, and a heart for the next generation. The position includes preaching opportunities, collaborative ministry, and a commitment to safeguarding youth.

Qualifications

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ and lifestyle aligned with biblical leadership.
• Affirms Grace Community Church's Statement of Faith and supports its mission, vision, and ministry philosophy.
• Willing to become an active member of Grace Community Church.
• Experience leading youth ministry (paid or volunteer).
• Strong communicator and Bible teacher.
• Able to recruit, develop, and lead volunteers.
• Bachelor's degree or theological training is an asset.
• Flexibility for occasional evening, weekend, and overnight events.
• Vulnerable sector check and safeguarding policies compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a vision for the Youth ministry.
• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings and events.
• Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers.
• Engage with schools and community partners to reach youth.
• Provide care, mentorship, and accountability for youth leaders.
• Occasionally preach or teach in larger church settings.
