The North Lambton Community Health Centre is seeking 2 Youth Leaders for the Inspire Youth Project to implement life skills programs for youth aged 12-18. This role involves working collaboratively, offering flexible hours, and requires travel between sites. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and relevant youth work experience.
The North Lambton Community Health Centre is a community governed health centre serving identified priority populations in a defined catchment area. The Centre operates multiple sites in Forest, Kettle & Stony Point, Watford, and Sarnia, Ontario. Our interdisciplinary team provides primary health care, health promotion and community development services.
As part of the Inspire Youth Project, funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the North Lambton Community Health Centre, in partnership with Kettle & Stony Point First Nation, requires:
(2) Youth Leaders
The Youth Leader will work closely with the Project Leader to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of life skills and personal development activities for youth aged 12 to 18. Programming will be delivered in Forest for all youth, with specific sessions dedicated to 2SLGBTQAI+ youth, as well as for youth in the Kettle & Stony Point community.
Qualifications
This is a contract position with an hourly rate of pay of $16.20 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
Flexible hours of work are required for up to 6 hours weekly. One incumbent will be based at the Forest location, and one at the Kettle & Stony Point location. Candidates must be flexible, willing, and able to travel between sites as needed to provide coverage. Availability to attend special events at either location is also required.
