Job summary

NEOFACS in Timmins seeks a Youth Justice team member to deliver cognitive, life-skills, and recreational programs to youths aged 12–18 who are in conflict with the law, with the aim of reducing recidivism. The role emphasizes applying ministry regulations, program implementation, and strong time management, supported by clear communication and organizational skills.

A university degree in Criminology or Social Work is preferred; bilingual English/French is an asset, and a valid G-class license

Qualifications

  • University degree in Criminology or Social Work; experience delivering cognitive programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of legislative acts/regulations for the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
  • Experience implementing programs and strong time management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset.
  • Valid G Class driver's license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cognitive, life-skills and recreational programs to youth aged 12–18 in conflict with the law.
  • Work within Attendance Centre Team to prevent recidivism and support well-being.
  • Coordinate activities, ensure safety and program adherence, and maintain records.
